Wave Equations With Energy Dependent Potentials

چکیده
We study wave equations with energy dependent potentials. Simple analytical models are found useful to illustrate difficulties encountered with the calculation and interpretation of observables. A formal analysis shows under which conditions such equations can be handled as evolution equation of quantum theory with an energy dependent potential. Once these conditions are met, such theory can be transformed into ordinary quantum theory.

Time-dependent analysis of carrier density and potential energy in spherical centered defect InGaAs/AlGaAs quantum dot (SCDQD)
Interaction and correlation effects in quantum dots play a fundamental role in defining both their equilibrium and transport properties. Numerical methods are commonly employed to study such systems. In this paper we investigate the numerical calculation of quantum transport of electrons in spherical centered defect InGaAs/AlGaAs quantum dot (SCDQD). The simulation is based on the imaginary time...

متن کاملMultiple Positive Standing Wave Solutions for Schrödinger Equations with Oscillating State-dependent Potentials
Motivated by relevant physical applications, we study Schrödinger equations with state-dependent potentials. Existence, localization and multiplicity results are established for positive standing wave solutions in the case of oscillating potentials. To this aim, a localized Pucci-Serrin type critical point theorem is first obtained. Two examples are then given to illustrate the new theory.
متن کاملQuantum trajectory dynamics in imaginary time with the momentum-dependent quantum potential.
The quantum trajectory dynamics is extended to the wave function evolution in imaginary time. For a nodeless wave function a simple exponential form leads to the classical-like equations of motion of trajectories, representing the wave function, in the presence of the momentum-dependent quantum potential in addition to the external potential. For a Gaussian wave function this quantum potential ...
متن کاملWave solutions of evolution equations and Hamiltonian flows on nonlinear subvarieties of generalized Jacobians
The algebraic–geometric approach is extended to study evolution equations associated with the energy-dependent Schrödinger operators having potentials with poles in the spectral parameter, in connection with Hamiltonian flows on nonlinear subvarieties of Jacobi varieties. The general approach is demonstrated by using new parametrizations for constructing quasi-periodic solutions of the shallow-...
